What we do

Kelvin’s Contracting is a Calgary trade crew for the work above the ceiling and behind the walls.

We blow attics in, tear dirty insulation out, proof against mice, and sanitize. On walls we bat, poly, and board. We hang and tape drywall, and we spray or strip popcorn and knockdown ceilings.

Attic & insulation

We bat the walls, poly them, then board and tape so the room is ready to paint.

Spray popcorn or knockdown, or strip the old texture and leave a clean surface.

When the studs are open we run the full stack: insulation, vapour barrier, then drywall. One crew, one sequence, no chasing trades.

Bat

Fit batts tight in every stud bay — no gaps at the plates, no compressed stuffing around boxes.

Poly

Staple a continuous polyethylene vapour barrier and seal it at windows, plates, and penetrations.

Board

Hang drywall over the poly, then tape and finish so the wall is ready to paint.

How do I get a free quote?

Do you work outside Calgary?

Yes. We work throughout Alberta and British Columbia. Travel charges may apply for jobs outside the Calgary area.

Do I need to remove old attic insulation first?

Not always. The condition of the existing insulation, contamination, moisture, pests and the desired insulation level determine whether removal is recommended.

Is mouse proofing the same as pest control?

Mouse proofing focuses on finding and sealing access points that allow rodents into the attic or structure.

Can you spray popcorn and knockdown?

Yes. Ceiling texture work can include new popcorn or knockdown finishes as well as removal of existing texture.
